**Day Trip to Pemberville
Let’s get together for a day trip to Pemberville, in Wood County. This charming small town is a treasure which has much to offer. For instance: Beeker’s General Store is a step back in time, lunch at the Front Street Cafe (all food is made from scratch), a program about candy, ($5 charge includes a bag of candy), shopping at a couple of interesting shops, and finally a tour of the renovated Pemberville Opera House. The downtown is one block only so there’s not a lot of walking.
At the opera house there is an elevator so no steps to climb.
When: Saturday, October 5
Carpooling: Meet at Meijer’s Store, 7240 Central Ave.Toledo (park in the Meijer:s parking lot near the AAA Store) at 9:45 AM. We’ll leave at 10 AM

**Help with Event at La Posada Family Shelter – October 29, 2024
Our MFC Women‘s Group is planning to provide dinner and Fall Festival activities for the children and their parents at the La Posada Family Shelter, 435 Eastern Avenue, Toledo.
The Shelter is operated through Catholic Charities of Toledo and helps people of all faiths.
The staff at the shelter is helping us with planning and will also help with the meal and activities.
It will be a fun event!

**Book Club:

We will be reading Finding Peace through Spiritual Practice: The Interfaith Amigos’ Guide to Personal, Social and Environmental Healing by Pastor Don Mackenzie, PhD, Rabbi Ted Falcon, PhD, and Imam Jamal Rahman.

Our next meeting will be Saturday, October 12 at 1:00pm at Sanger Branch Library (Room A). It should work to meet every other week after this, though the location might change.
